Homework is given out on a Friday to be completed by the following Friday.
The spelling patterns and rules will be worked on during English lessons but research shows that the more practise children have, the greater chances of this information been embedded. We want children to learn these spellings so they can use them for life not just for a spelling test.
The homework includues learning spellings and writing sentences. This should be done using a child's best handwritng and in pencil where possible. A sheet of timestables will also be given. Pupils may use their planners to support them if needed.
Children all learn at different rates so all children do not have the same spellings.
